Heritage.Org

Heritage.org is a research and educational institution that promotes the principles of free
enterprise, limited government, individual freedom, traditional American values, and a
strong national defense.

What I really like about this site is their initiatives for reclaiming America's first
principles. The documents they produce are valuable to understanding our founding
documents. Two such documents are:

How to read the Constitution

How to read the Federalist Papers

This website houses a wealth of information and deserves to be "bookmarked'.

Black Belt Patriotism - How to Reawaken America by Chuck Norris

This book was my wake-up call. When I first read it last Fall, it challenged me to learn more about my faith and traditional values. The core message of the Declaration of Independence is that everyone has a God-given right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The more I read, the more I understood that these rights are under constant attack from Judges who ignore the Constitution and legislates from the bench. They are also under attack by the media and liberal/progressive legislators, among others.
In just ten chapters, Mr. Norris not only examines many of the problems plaguing America today, but also provides insight on how to reclaim the America our founding fathers gave us through the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution.
I like this well documented book; it's a good first read. Walker,I mean Mr. Norris, pulled no punches!

Constitutional Sources Project

From the Constitutional Sources Project website:

Founded in May of 2005 and launched on the Constitution's 220th birthday, ConSource, also known as The Constitutional Sources Project, is a non-profit, public organization aimed at creating the first, free, comprehensive, online library of Constitution-related source materials including over 20,000 authoritative transcripts and high quality digital images of the original documents. ConSource engenders no political creed or doctrine.

What I really like about this digital library is the ease of use and the curriculums that cover from grades 4 through college. Go figure, a civics course using source documents!

Constituting America

Constituting America is a great website to learn about our Constitution. Founded by Janine Turner, the stated mission is to reach, educate and inform America's youth and her citizens about the importance of the U.S. Constitution and the foundation it sets forth regarding our freedoms and rights. Her program is called 90 plus 90 = 180. This represents 90 days of reading, the Constitution in 5 days and the Federalist Papers in 85 days resulting in a 180 degree about turn back to the history that yields our future.

The reading schedule is archived on her blog and can be started at any time. I'm currently on day 9. I especially like the guest blogger comments.
